Night trips are available at Cuc Phuong National Park

On May 4, 2024, Cuc Phuong National Park will formally open for night trips. During a roughly 5-kilometer ride in a sightseeing tram, guests can witness wildlife and fireflies at night. A maximum of ten people can ride each tram during a one-hour excursion. The tour runs from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the week, with the last tour leaving at 8:45 p.m.

 

The children's experience and creativity area serves as the starting point for the tour. Visitors will follow the tour leader along pathways as they explore the forest's nightlife and see fireflies and other nighttime creatures. If fortunate, tourists may be able to see endangered species including otters, wild cats, striped civets, pangolins, and squid civets. The excursion also aids in participants' understanding of conservation and forest rescue efforts.
The tram circles the border of the woodland for around thirty minutes. For the remainder of the evening, guests can take in the clean, nighttime air of the ancient woodland. The journey comes to a close when the tram returns guests to the Garden gate area. To prevent the tour from negatively impacting the natural habitat of wild animals and plants, the number of people allowed to participate each night is restricted to slightly over 100.
The cost of admission to the tour is 10,000 VND for children under 10 and 60,000 VND for adults. Adults pay 100,000 VND for the night excursion, while children pay 50,000 VND. Selling trips to visitors who are spending the night in the forest is given priority.

Visitors should bring all necessary personal supplies, such as long clothes and insect and mosquito repellent, to ensure the greatest possible experience. For ease of mobility, wear sandals and flat shoes; avoid wearing high heels as some areas require walking. Furthermore, you can bring binoculars to make it easier to view the flora and animals and a camera to capture stunning images.
At this time of year, visitors to Cuc Phuong can witness tens of thousands of butterflies fluttering around.
