Billionaire Bill Gates Returns to Vietnam for Tourism After Nearly Two Decades
On March, BNN Breaking reported that Bill Gates - the famous American billionaire, has begun his personal journey to Vietnam.
This marks the first time Bill Gates has returned to Vietnam in nearly two decades. This trip comes after he attended the lavish pre-wedding celebration for the son of India's richest billionaire, Mukesh Ambani. Along with his girlfriend Paula Hicks, Gates was one of the prominent global figures gathered at this major event.
After the festivities, he set off for Vietnam, a country he last visited in 2006 for business activities related to the information technology sector. According to his schedule, the American billionaire will spend around 5 days in Da Nang and Hoi An, staying at a luxurious 5-star resort in Son Tra District.
During his 2006 visit, Bill Gates met with representatives from Vietnam's emerging IT industry and visited Tu Son District in Bac Ninh Province. There, he experienced local customs, including betel nut chewing and watching traditional quan ho folk singing.
BNN Breaking commented that Bill Gates' return after 18 years is evidence of Vietnam's increasing appeal as a tourist destination for global figures. His current visit to Da Nang and Hoi An could boost tourism and promote the region's rich heritage, stunning landscapes, and hospitality. Moreover, such high-profile visits often spark interest in local investment opportunities, potentially benefiting Vietnam's economy and technology sector.
