The distinctive Hanoi tourism festival "Thang Long - Hanoi, Enchanting Capital" will take place at the end of April.

 

On April 4th, the People's Committee of Hanoi issued a plan to organize the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024.

 

The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024 with the theme "Thang Long - Hanoi, Enchanting Capital" aims to honor the fascinating cultural and historical values of Hanoi throughout thousands of years of history. It focuses on leveraging existing advantages, promoting tourism activities of the capital city, cultural exchanges, seizing promotional opportunities, and showcasing Hanoi's cultural heritage and its people to provinces as well as cities within the country, and internationally. The festival aims to attract domestic and international tourists to Hanoi as a quality, attractive, safe, and friendly tourist destination.

 

The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024 is an annual event to stimulate tourism for the city, organized with a historically profound scale and concept, encouraging visitors and Hanoi residents to travel to attractive destinations in Hanoi such as the Old Quarter of Hanoi, check out architectural heritage from different dynasties, specifically from the late 19th and to the early 20th-century (French architectural style structures), Duong Lam Ancient Village, Ba Vi National Park, Bat Trang Pottery Village, Soc Son Tourist Area, Quan Son Lake, Quoc Oai, and Dong Mo Lake.

The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024 aims to promote responsible tourism, with the goal of preserving and promoting the values of cultural and historical heritage, ensuring the sustainable development of the tourism industry in Vietnam.

The Hanoi tourism festival will include many events and activities for tourists to enjoy

The festival will introduce the unique and distinctive values of Hanoi's culinary craft villages, connecting the cultural and historical heritage of Hanoi with provinces such as Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, etc. It is also an opportunity to connect international tourism and form inter-national tourism products, linking Hanoi with tourist destinations in the Southeast Asia region as well as around the world.

It is expected that the festival will have 150 booths introducing tourism products, food stalls and craft villages at Thong Nhat Park. There will be booths for provinces and cities to introduce local tourism and specialties, as well as booths for international tourism organizations and agencies to promote tourist destinations of their countries.

 

Additionally, the festival will showcase 2D and 3D landscape designs introducing prominent tourist attractions in Hanoi such as the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature, Son Tay Ancient Citadel, Hoa Lo Prison Relic, etc. Visitors and tourists will also have the opportunity to experience the ambiance of Hanoi's craft villages and cuisine.

 

Lastly, the festival will feature parades, dragon dances, art performances, and traditional costumes promoting tourism of localities at Thong Nhat Park and Tran Nhan Tong Pedestrian Street.

The Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center will lead and coordinate with units and organizations in the tourism sector to develop programs, activities, promotions, and introductions to stimulate tourism demand to Hanoi and domestic tourism.

The expected time for the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024

The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024 aims to attract people from localities across the country to visit the capital city of Hanoi. At the same time, it organizes travel programs for Hanoi residents to explore other destinations and encourages them to use the services provided by Hanoi's tourism businesses.

 

The festival will take place from April 25th to 28th at Thong Nhat Park, Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
