Ha Long Bay Now Has 8 Designated Recreation Zones
The Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just announced 4 additional recreation zones on Ha Long Bay, including Ba Hang, Tùng Sâu, Vung Viêng fishing village, and Hang Cỏ.
On January 19, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee announced 4 more water areas for recreation activities on Ha Long Bay, including Ba Hang, Tùng Sâu, Vung Viêng fishing village, and Hang Cỏ.
Specifically, Ba Hang area covers 16.04 ha; Tùng Sâu cove area covers 46.43 ha; Vung Viêng fishing village area covers 73.67 ha; Hang Cỏ area covers 43.22 ha.
Thus, up to now, there are 8 zones on Ha Long Bay that have been designated by the Provincial People's Committee as eligible for operating recreational activities. After that, Ha Long Bay Management Board will sign contracts with qualified companies to serve tourists.
Previously, Thanh Nien newspaper had reflected on the situation where some recreational activities on Ha Long Bay such as kayaking, rowing boats, etc. were operating without complying with Decree 48/2019/ND-CP dated June 5, 2019 of the Government.
After the above reflection, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee directed relevant agencies to announce 4 water areas for activities, including: Luồn cave area: 5.23 ha; Cửa Vạn fishing village area: 29.56 ha; Động Tiên - Trinh Nữ cave area: 32.55 ha; Cống Đỏ area: 62.36 ha.
Announcing recreation zones on Ha Long Bay has untied many obstacles in investing and operating underwater tourism services over the years according to Decree 48/2019/ND-CP regulating the management of vehicles serving underwater entertainment activities.
