THE MICHELIN GUIDE EXTENDS TO "DA NANG", VIETNAM

Joining Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang becomes the third Vietnamese destination to be scouted by the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors. 

"Danang's entry into the Michelin Guide family is a testament to the vibrancy and quality of Vietnamese cuisine, along with its rich history and unique flavors to regional cuisine," said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of Michelin Guide.

According to a Michelin Guide representative, Da Nang deeply impressed the appraisers with its excellent food quality and rich culinary heritage such as Quang noodles, fish cake noodles(bun cha ca), banh xeo...Michelin appraisers were delighted to sit by the side of the road and enjoy the "crown jewels" of cuisine, such as a bowl of duck congee(chao vit).

Similar to previous destinations, delicious restaurants and cuisine in Danang will be evaluated by Michelin Guide's anonymous team of appraisers in Vietnam according to 5 globally consistent criteria, all focusing on the quality of the food. These include the quality of the ingredients used, cooking skills, flavor harmony, personality of the chef expressed through the dish, consistency of the dish over time and throughout the menu.

This year's Michelin Guide restaurant list will be unveiled at an event on June 6.Da Nang is not only famous for its beautiful sea resort, many scenic historical sites, but also famous for its culinary culture

The arrival of Michelin Guide in Vietnam from 2023 is considered a big jump for the food and tourism market. Mr. Do Duy Thanh, Director of Fnb Director said, thanks to the effect of the award, 2023 has witnessed a remarkable growth of the middle and high-end restaurant business.

Michelin is making new 2024 investment models to learn, copy and optimize from the 2023 list. Going deeper, the trend of the high-end restaurant industry will move towards the culinary art model.

In 2023, many high-end culinary restaurants regret losing their prestigious Michelin stars due to not understanding the criteria and regulations of the evaluation unit. So, this year will see a drastic makeover of the aforementioned units with improved dishes and service to receive a star
