TUYEN QUANG TOURISM YEAR 2024 - THE GRAND OPENING OF THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL HOT AIR BALLON FESTIVAL

In Da Nang City, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Province recently organized a press conference on the opening ceremony of the 3rd Tuyen Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival and Tourism Year 2024.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Province, stated that 2024 marks not only the third year the province has organized the Tourism Year program but also for organizing the largest international hot air balloon festival in the country, with the participation of many countries around the world. The event aims to create a strong ripple effect and build Tuyen Quang's tourism brand as a "safe and friendly destination," promoting the province's tourism development.

This festival marks the beginning of a series of cultural, sports, and tourism events taking place throughout 2024 to introduce and promote the tourism potential and advantages of Tuyen Quang Province, attracting domestic and international tourists as well as investors to Tuyen Quang. It contributes to boosting the development of tourism and making it an important economic sector of Tuyen Quang.

Within the framework of the event, there will be a series of cultural, sports, and tourism activities, with the highlights being the opening ceremony of the Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 program at 8:00 PM on April 27th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Tuyen Quang City), and the opening ceremony of the 3rd Tuyen Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024 at 6:00 AM on April 27th, also at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square. Here, 22 hot air balloons controlled by international pilots from countries such as the UK, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam will perform and serve tourists for experiencing flights, including 10 free-flying balloons, 5 tethered balloons, and 7 display balloons.

Especially this year, Tuyen Quang will organize an international hot air balloon light festival combined with performances by DJ bands over 3 nights (from April 28th to 30th). The committees will also organize some free flights for special groups such as ethnic minorities and famous individuals like Facebookers, YouTubers, TikTokers to promote the festival and showcase the image of the land, people, and tourism potential of the province. Furthermore, the opening of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 will feature an exhibition and introduction of tourism products and Tuyen Quang's craft villages from April 25th to May 1st, with the participation of over 100 booths from Tuyen Quang Province and other provinces and cities nationwide. There will also be a conference connecting investment, trade, tourism, and craft villages in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang.
