This is a national geopark covering more than 3,275 km2 in Cao Bang province, Vietnam's highest land, and includes the districts of Ha Quang, Trung Khanh, Ha Lang, Quang Hoa, and parts of Hoa An, Nguyen Binh, and Thach An. This park is a place worth 500 million years of Earth's history through the remaining traces here. Fossils, marine deposits, volcanic rocks, minerals, and limestone landscapes are excellent examples of Earth's development and change. On April 12, 2018, UNESCO formally declared the park as a worldwide geopark, making it Vietnam's second global geopark after the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark in Ha Giang. Along the journey, you may admire Ma Phuc Pass with its lyrical and attractive beauty.
09:00: Arrive to Ban Gioc, you visit and take photos of:
- Nguom Ngao Cave, also known as Tiger Cave, is a stunning natural wonder in the North. The cave is located in Gun village, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province, in the middle of a mountain, 5 kilometers from the Ban Gioc waterfall. According to a 1995 study conducted by the British Royal Cave Association, this cave is 2,144 meters long and has three main doors: Nguom Ngao, Nguom Lom, and Ban Thuon. There are several stalactites and stalagmites in the cave, each with its own unique shape.
- Ban Gioc waterfall. The waterfall is 53 meters tall, separated into three tiers, and is regarded as one of Vietnam's most beautiful waterfalls. It is also the fourth largest waterfall in the top ten most stunning waterfalls in the world, and it is located on the border of two nations.

11:00: Arrive at Cho Ra town and have lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, the car transported the party to the Ba Be Lake National Park boat station, where they boarded a boat to explore the lake. Sitting in a small boat, you may unwind and enjoy the lake scenery while looking for a good position to take shots. On the lake, the boat will stop at the following places:
- Fairy Pond is situated in the corner of Ba Be Lake, a little lake surrounded by a mountain. According to legend, the gods used to sit here and play chess.
- An Ma Temple: The temple is situated on a tiny mountain in the center of the lake. According to legend, during the feudal struggle between the Le and Mac dynasties, the Mac generals lost the fight and escaped to Puong Cave, where they committed suicide.
Appreciating the attitude of loyalty, the people erected a shrine to revere the Mac family, but fearing that the Le Dynasty would demolish it, they renamed it An Ma shrine. The Tay ethnic language's two phrases "An Ma" signify "beautiful peaceful grave," which is the final resting place of Mac family loyalists.
- Ba Goa Island - a lovely small island located right in the center of the lake that was formed during its formation. The boat travels gently around the island, allowing you to snap shots.
14:30: The group returns to the boat dock and gets on the bus back to Hanoi.
